Responsibilities Supervise and engage children across different age groups, including toddlers, preschoolers, and elementary school-age children, ensuring their safety at all times. Provide nurturing care for infants and toddlers, including feeding, diapering, and comforting as needed. Manage behavior using positive guidance techniques and effective behavior management strategies. Communicate regularly with parents or guardians regarding children's needs and any concerns that arise during the shift. Follow mandated reporting laws to report any signs of neglect or abuse in accordance with legal requirements. Maintain a clean, organized environment conducive to safe play and learning experiences. Experience Prior experience working with children in settings such as daycare centers, preschools, babysitting, nannying, or youth programs. Demonstrated knowledge of childhood development principles and early childhood education best practices. Experience caring for infants through elementary school-age children with a focus on safety and developmental needs. Proficiency in first aid and CPR certification to respond effectively to emergencies. Familiarity with behavior management techniques suitable for young children. Ability to communicate effectively with parents and team members while adhering to confidentiality standards.
