This pivotal role involves overseeing daily operations, ensuring compliance with legal and educational standards, and fostering a nurturing environment for children, staff, and families. The ideal candidate will bring a passion for early childhood education, strong leadership skills, and experience in managing educational programs within a licensed childcare setting. As Assistant Director, you will play a key role in shaping the center's educational quality, operational excellence, and community engagement to create a vibrant, safe, and enriching space for young learners. Duties Collaborate with the Director to develop and implement curriculum plans that promote developmental milestones and align with best practices in early childhood education. Lead instructional teams by providing coaching, faculty evaluation, and professional development opportunities to ensure high-quality teaching standards. Oversee daily center operations including staff scheduling, classroom management, and student supervision to maintain a smooth running environment. Manage budgets effectively by planning financial resources, tracking expenditures, and ensuring fiscal responsibility in line with organizational policies. Engage in strategic planning initiatives to expand program offerings, improve service delivery, and strengthen community partnerships through fundraising efforts. Ensure compliance with all licensing regulations, legal requirements (including special education law), and health and safety standards governing childcare facilities. Supervise personnel management activities such as hiring, training, performance evaluations, and personnel development to foster a motivated team committed to excellence. Facilitate communication with parents and stakeholders through public speaking engagements, parent meetings, and community outreach to promote transparency and trust. Requirements Proven experience in school administrative leadership or as a school director within a licensed childcare or early childhood education setting. Strong background in curriculum development, instructional leadership in education, and classroom teaching experience with young children. Knowledge of school legal frameworks including special education law and licensing requirements for childcare centers. Demonstrated success managing budgets as an executive education administrator or similar role with fiscal oversight responsibilities. Excellent management skills encompassing personnel supervision, faculty evaluation, strategic planning, and operational oversight. Experience working within K-12 or early childhood education environments with familiarity in education administration practices. Exceptional leadership capabilities combined with strong public speaking skills to effectively communicate vision and motivate teams. Ability to navigate complex legal regulations related to school operations while maintaining compliance across all aspects of the center's functions.
