In this role, you will create a nurturing, engaging, and educational environment tailored to the developmental needs of infants. Your enthusiasm and expertise will inspire young learners, foster their growth, and support their early milestones. EDUCATION AND CURRICULUM
Plan and implement curriculum activities and lesson plans that promote children's social, emotional, spiritual, physical and cognitive development; Implement program schedule for the classroom, outdoor time, meals, snacks, and special activities Use positive guidance techniques consistent with the state regulations, counsel children when social, academic, or adjustment problems arise. Maintain appropriate primary caregiver groups as covered in minimum standards. Keep accurate and current records of each child's developmental milestones, student accidents, anecdotal records, and attendance. Establish developmentally appropriate room arrangement, décor and learning environment in the classroom-- Implement the seven required centers. Provide daily written communication to the parents to keep communication open between center and parents. Maintain classroom bulletin boards. Know thoroughly the Texas Minimum Standards as they pertain to the center operations and conduct activities within those guidelines. Organize and compile daily curriculum activities for afternoon reviews, centers and activities to be taught by assistants, aides and/or closers.
INTERACTION WITH PARENTS, STAFF AND DIRECTOR
Meet with prospective families and communicate appropriately with potential new customers. Supervise assistant teacher and aid in all aspects of their position: mentor assistant teacher to develop the required skills and expertise needed to ensure classroom curriculum is implemented and an appropriate classroom environment is maintained. Assist in training new staff and familiarizing them with the program practices, forms and schedules. Observe, record and report to the director any significant behavior of children or staff that could adversely affect the quality of care provided. Actively participate in center events, staff training sessions, meetings and programs. Immediately notify director of needed repairs to the building, play area, equipment or situations that could affect health or safety. Implement appropriate emergency procedures in the event of a fire, tornado, chemical leak or other emergency situations. Administer CPR/First aid or other appropriate emergency procedures in the event of serious student accidents and emergencies. Properly maintain educational materials and equipment to ensure safety and be certain children are using equipment in an appropriate manner. Keep classroom and other play areas neat and clean. Report directly to the director and take directions from other administrative personnel. Join us to nurture the next generation of learners!
