To satisfy this position, you will work closely with the School Director to ensure the smooth operation of the school, maintain compliance with Texas licensing regulations, and foster a nurturing Montessori environment for students, teachers, and families.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist in overseeing daily school operations, including staffing, curriculum implementation, and student development. Support and mentor teachers in Montessori best practices. Possessing in-depth knowledge of Texas Childcare Licensing regulations and ensuring full compliance with all licensing standards. Maintaining all the child, teacher records time to time. Ensuring all necessary building maintenance is completed and the license is renewed on time. Build positive relationships with students, parents, and staff to maintain a strong school community. Assist with enrollment, tours, and parent communication. Handle administrative tasks such as scheduling, record-keeping, and reporting. Step into classrooms (infants to Primary) as needed to support teachers and students. Step into Kitchen as needed to help in cleaning dishes, distributing food.
Qualifications & Requirements:
Minimum one year of experience in a Montessori school (required). AMI, AMS, or MACTE-accredited Montessori Certification (required). Bachelor's degree in Education, Child Development, or a related field preferred. Experience in a leadership or supervisory role in an educational setting is a plus. Knowledge of Texas childcare licensing regulations. Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Passion for Montessori philosophy and child-centered education.
