Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a passionate and energetic Toddler Teacher to inspire and nurture the youngest learners in our early childhood education environment. In this role, you will create a warm, engaging classroom atmosphere that promotes growth, curiosity, and development for children in their formative years. Your enthusiasm and dedication will help lay the foundation for lifelong learning, fostering a safe and supportive space where toddlers can explore, discover, and thrive. Duties Design and implement age-appropriate activities that promote social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development for toddlers Foster a positive classroom environment through effective classroom management and behavior guidance techniques Support children's individual needs by applying principles of childhood development and special education when necessary Maintain a safe, clean, and organized classroom that adheres to health and safety regulations including first aid procedures Communicate regularly with parents or guardians about children's progress, milestones, and any concerns Collaborate with team members to plan curriculum enhancements and participate in ongoing professional development Assist with daily routines such as diapering, feeding, nap times, and outdoor play to ensure a nurturing caregiving experience Requirements Prior experience working with young children in a licensed childcare center Knowledge of early childhood education practices and classroom management strategies Certification in first aid and CPR required; additional certifications in special education or working with individuals with disabilities are a plus Familiarity with infant care, toddler care, and behavior management techniques Strong communication skills to effectively engage with children, parents, and team members Ability to lift 50 pounds, bend, squat, crawl, and reach. Ability to sit on the floor to engage with children and stand from the floor without difficulty, many times throughout the shift. Ability to sit on the floor at length during nap time Ability to create an inclusive environment that supports children's developmental needs regardless of abilities or backgrounds Passion for working with children and commitment to fostering a positive learning environment Join us in shaping the future by providing joyful, enriching experiences for our youngest learners!
