Job Description

Position Overview We are looking for a dedicated, nurturing, and organized Infant Teacher to oversee the care and development of children ages 6 weeks to 18 months. In this role, you create a safe, engaging environment that fosters emotional, social, and cognitive growth during these critical early stages. You will serve as a point of contact for parents and ensure the highest standards of care. Key Responsibilities Curriculum & Environment Implement age-appropriate activities that stimulate sensory development, motor skills, and language acquisition. Maintain a clean, organized, and inviting classroom that meets all health and safety regulations. Ensure the daily schedule balances active play, quiet time, and necessary care routines (feeding, diapering, and napping). Child Care & Safety Provide attentive, responsive care for each infant's physical and emotional needs. Strictly adhere to all safety protocols, including Safe Sleep practices and proper sanitation procedures. Monitor and document developmental milestones, daily activities, and health checks. Communication & Leadership Maintain open, professional, and empathetic communication with parents regarding their child's daily progress and needs. Provide clear communication and direction to assistant teachers in the classroom. Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and school-wide events.
Qualifications & Skills Experience:
Proven experience working with infants in a licensed childcare or early childhood education setting.
Education:
High School diploma or equivalent required.
Certifications:
Current CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain) A warm, patient, and nurturing demeanor. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Ability to remain calm and multitask in a high-energy environment. Excellent collaborative skills for working with a leadership team. Physical Requirements Ability to lift to 25 pounds frequently. Comfortable sitting on the floor, bending, and standing for extended periods. High level of energy and stamina to engage with active infants and toddlers.
Pay:
$14.50 - $17.00 per hour
