In this role, you will create a nurturing and stimulating classroom environment that promotes early childhood development, literacy, social skills, and curiosity. Responsibilities Develop and implement dynamic curriculum plans that incorporate early intervention, literacy education, math, physical education to meet diverse student needs. Manage classroom behavior effectively through positive reinforcement and behavior management techniques to promote respectful interactions. Conduct assessments using many different methods to monitor each child's progress and tailor instruction accordingly. Incorporate specialized approaches such as special education strategies when supporting children with unique learning requirements. Maintain detailed records of lesson plans, student progress, and classroom activities to ensure compliance with educational standards and best practices. Qualifications Prior experience working with children in preschool or daycare settings is essential; classroom experience is highly valued. Knowledge of childhood development principles, early childhood education standards, and classroom management techniques. Familiarity with curriculum development, literacy education, math instruction, and teaching physical education within an early childhood context. Strong communication skills to effectively engage with children, parents, colleagues, and administrative staff. Ability to plan lessons that incorporate innovative teaching approaches suited for preschool learners. Certification or training in early childhood education or related fields is advantageous; ongoing professional development is encouraged.
