Job Description

Household Caregiver / Childcare Provider We are seeking a mature, dependable, nurturing, and highly structured caregiver to care for four children ages 5-13 in the Spring, TX 77386 area. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced caregiver or empty nester who enjoys working with children and understands the importance of structure, consistency, accountability, and routine.
Schedule Tuesday-Friday:
3:00 PM-8:00
PM Saturday:
12:00 PM-8:00 PM Approximately 28 hours per week Responsibilities Supervise and care for four children ages 5-13. Follow the daily routine established by the parent/owner. Oversee homework, chores, meals, and daily responsibilities. Prepare meals and occasionally assist with grocery shopping. Clean and maintain the kitchen after meals. Transport children to medical, psychiatric, recreational, and school-related activities. Attend and participate in school functions that occur during scheduled work hours. Document daily medications and significant behaviors in the designated log. Assist with medical and psychiatric appointments as directed. Coordinate appropriately with care coordinators and other professionals. Help identify positive, age-appropriate recreational activities for the children. Bring maintenance, safety, or household concerns to the owner's attention. Maintain a safe, organized, respectful, and structured environment. Maintain confidentiality regarding the children and household. Qualifications Valid driver's license. Must successfully pass a background check. Must be willing to drive the owner's vehicle for approved transportation. Must be willing to complete all training required by the agency. Reliable and punctual. Patient, organized, responsible, and comfortable setting appropriate boundaries. Experience caring for multiple children is strongly preferred. Strong communication and documentation skills. Ideal Candidate The ideal candidate is warm but firm, nurturing but structured, dependable, observant, and proactive. We are especially interested in someone with significant childcare or parenting experience, including an empty nester who enjoys working with children. This is not simply a babysitting position. We are looking for someone who can become a dependable part of the children's daily routine and help provide stability, structure, accountability, and positive experiences.
