Childcare Associate Leaders Church The Colony, TX Job Details Part-time | Contract $20 - $24 an hour 22 hours ago Qualifications Daycare center experience Classroom experience Clean workspace maintenance Teaching experience with young children Full Job Description Job Summary We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Childcare Associate to join the Children's Ministry team at Leaders Church. In this paid, classroom-leading role, you will provide nurturing, engaging, and developmentally appropriate care for children while creating a safe, structured, and welcoming environment. Your energy, professionalism, and childcare experience will help children explore, learn, and grow, while ensuring their well-being and safety are always prioritized. This position offers an opportunity to make a meaningful impact on young lives through compassionate caregiving and early childhood best practices. Key Responsibilities Lead a classroom of children during church services and events Comfortable leading Bible stories in the classroom Create a warm, welcoming atmosphere that promotes safety, trust, and curiosity Supervise and actively engage children in age-appropriate activities including playtime, arts and crafts, storytelling, and structured learning Support children's emotional and social development using positive behavior management techniques Manage daily routines such as diapering, feeding, nap times, and hygiene practices (as age-appropriate) Maintain a clean, organized, and safe classroom environment at all times Monitor children closely and respond appropriately to incidents, injuries, or concerns Adhere strictly to all child safety, check-in/check-out, and health protocols Communicate clearly with ministry leadership regarding classroom needs or concerns Qualifications Must be at least 18 years old Prior daycare, preschool, or early childhood classroom experience required Knowledge of early childhood development principles and age-appropriate care techniques Comfortable leading a classroom independently Strong communication skills for interacting with children, parents, and leadership Ability to manage behavior constructively while fostering a positive learning environment CPR and First Aid certification preferred (or willingness to obtain) Experience working with children with disabilities or special needs is a plus Reliable, punctual, and professional Alignment with the mission, values, and beliefs of Leaders Church Schedule & Compensation Sunday mornings (services and special events) Occasional midweek services or events Hourly pay or service-based stipend (based on experience)
