Responsibilities:
- Supervise and ensure the safety and well-being of children in all areas of the facility.
- Foster a warm, welcoming atmosphere that promotes a sense of belonging and encourages creativity.
- Engage children in age-appropriate activities, including educational games, arts and crafts, outdoor play, and story time.
- Assist in planning and implementing daily routines, lesson plans, and learning experiences that support social, emotional, cognitive, and physical growth.
- Monitor childrens progress and report observations to lead caregivers or administration.
- Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding their childs day, milestones, and any concerns.
- Support childrens individual needs, including feeding, toileting, dressing, and hygiene.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe classroom environment, following all health and safety guidelines.
- Collaborate with other team members to ensure a positive and cooperative workplace.
- Attend staff meetings, training sessions, and participate in professional development as required.
Qualifications:
- Passion for working with young children and supporting their development.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Patience, reliability, and a positive attitude.
- Ability to multitask and adapt to changing situations.
- Previous experience in childcare or early childhood education preferred.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education or certifications in child development are a plus.
- Ability to meet state requirements for childcare workers (including background checks and health screenings).
- Must be authorized to work in the United States.
- Experience preferred, but not required
Physical Demands:
- Ability to lift and carry small children.
- Participate in outdoor activities and play.
- Move quickly in case of emergencies.
