Job Description

About Us Studio B Dance Company is a positive, community-centered dance studio focused on helping students of all ages grow in confidence, coordination, and creativity. Our programs introduce young children to movement and music in a fun, structured, and encouraging environment while also creating opportunities for caregivers to connect, build friendships, and find community. This position works closely with our Studio Director in developing and implementing program curriculum and experiences. Job Summary We are seeking a reliable, energetic Preschool Movement Teacher to work with children ages 9 months-5 years and their caregivers. The ideal candidate enjoys working with young children and can create a fun, engaging, and structured class environment that supports early childhood development, encourages a love for movement, and helps foster meaningful connections among participating families. Responsibilities Teach preschool movement and beginner dance classes for ages 9 months-5 years Plan and lead engaging, age-appropriate lessons using music and creative movement Maintain a safe, positive, and structured classroom environment Manage classroom behavior with patience and consistency Create a welcoming and inclusive atmosphere where caregivers feel comfortable connecting with one another, building community, and enjoying time with their children Communicate professionally with parents and studio staff Arrive on time and prepared for all scheduled classes Collaborate with the Studio Director on program development and class activities as needed Qualifications Experience working with young children required (teaching, childcare, preschool, or similar) Dance experience or movement background preferred but not required Strong classroom management and communication skills Positive, patient, and dependable Ability to create an inclusive and welcoming environment for all children
Schedule Mondays:
9:00 AM-12:00
PM Fridays:
9:00 AM-12:00 PM Approximately 4-6 hours per week, depending on enrollment, with opportunities for additional hours and program growth.
