Lead Teacher (Ages 6 Weeks - 5 Years)

Full-Time Position Overview We are seeking an experienced, nurturing, and motivated Lead Teacher to join our large, high-quality childcare center serving children ages 6 weeks to 5 years . The Lead Teacher is responsible for creating and maintaining a safe, engaging, and developmentally appropriate classroom environment while leading classroom staff and fostering positive relationships with families. Key Responsibilities Implement age-appropriate curriculum Create a safe, clean, and nurturing classroom environment Lead, mentor, and support assistant teachers and classroom aides Conduct ongoing observations and assessments of children's development Maintain accurate records and developmental documentation Communicate effectively and professionally with families regarding their child's progress Ensure compliance with licensing regulations and center policies Support children's social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development Maintain a structured daily schedule that includes play, learning, meals, and rest Foster positive behavior using developmentally appropriate guidance techniques Qualifications Minimum age requirement as required by state licensing CDA, Associate's, or Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or related field (preferred) Experience working with children ages 6 weeks to 5 years (preferred) Prior leadership experience in a childcare setting preferred Strong classroom management and organizational skills CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain) Utah State Food Handlers Certification Ability to pass background check and meet all state licensing requirements Excellent communication and teamwork skills Requirements Ability to lift up to 40 pounds Ability to sit, stand, bend, and move throughout the day Dependable attendance and punctuality Passion for working with young children in a team-oriented environment Benefits Competitive pay based on experience and education Paid training and professional development opportunities Supportive leadership team Discounted childcare for employees Insurance benefits (for eligible employees) No weekend shifts Positive and collaborative work environment Paid time off (where applicable) Why Join Us?
