Job Description

Part-Time Art Teacher (Preschool-5th Grade) Ivy Hall Academy is seeking a creative, enthusiastic Part-Time Art Teacher to inspire students from Preschool through 5th grade through engaging, hands-on art experiences in a supportive Christian school environment. The ideal candidate loves working with children, enjoys exploring a variety of artistic mediums, and fosters creativity while building confidence and respect in every student.
Position Details Part-time:
15-20 hours per week
Teaching:
2 Preschool classes (ages 3 & 4) Two classes of each grade, Kindergarten-5th Classes are held in the dedicated art classroom. Additional middle/high school elective classes may be available based on enrollment.
Typical schedule:
Monday-Thursday:
10:30 a.m.-3:00 p.m.
Friday:
12:30-2:00 p.m. (or no Friday hours) Responsibilities Plan and teach engaging art lessons in a variety of mediums, including drawing, painting, sculpture, mixed media, and art appreciation. Follow and enhance existing curriculum maps while meeting Utah Fine Arts standards. Display and rotate student artwork throughout the school at least four times per year. Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming art classroom. Foster creativity, teamwork, respect, and confidence in students of all skill levels. Assess student progress and complete report card comments twice annually. Communicate effectively with classroom teachers and parents as needed regarding student progress and safety. Participate in faculty meetings, professional development, and school events as appropriate. Qualifications Experience teaching elementary-age students preferred. Bachelor's degree in Education, Art Education, Fine Arts, or a related field preferred. Teaching license is welcomed but not required. Passion for working with children in a leadership environment. Creative, organized, dependable, and collaborative. Strong classroom management and communication skills. Compensation & Benefits Starting at $20+ per hour , based on education and experience. Part-time position (PTO and paid holidays are not included).
