Job Summary We are seeking a passionate and dynamic Director/Preschool Teacher to lead and inspire early childhood education programs. In this role, you will be responsible for creating a nurturing, engaging, and educational environment for young children, fostering their social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development. You will oversee classroom activities, develop innovative curricula, and ensure compliance with all safety and educational standards. Your leadership will empower both children and staff to thrive in a supportive setting that promotes curiosity, learning, and growth. Responsibilities Design and implement developmentally appropriate curriculum focusing on early childhood education principles, including literacy, math, physical education, and social skills. Lead classroom activities that promote active learning, creativity, and positive behavior management. Supervise and mentor teaching staff to ensure high-quality instruction and effective classroom management. Communicate regularly with parents about their child's progress, developmental milestones, and any concerns or updates. Ensure compliance with mandated reporting laws related to child welfare and safety protocols. Coordinate assessments such as standardized testing to monitor student progress and inform instruction. Manage classroom environments to support toddler care, preschool activities, and special education needs when applicable. Maintain detailed records of lesson plans, student development reports, incident reports, and other documentation required by licensing agencies or school policies. Foster a collaborative team environment focused on continuous improvement in teaching strategies and child welfare practices. Qualifications Proven experience working with children in early childhood settings, including preschool or toddler care environments. Strong background in curriculum development tailored to early childhood development stages. Knowledge of special education strategies and early intervention techniques for diverse learners. Familiarity with childhood development instruction, behavior management techniques, and classroom management best practices. Experience teaching state approved Streamn 3 or comparable curriculum. Excellent communication skills for parent engagement and team collaboration. Certification in first aid and CPR; knowledge of mandated reporting laws is essential. Prior experience in private school settings or similar educational institutions is preferred. Demonstrated ability to lead a team effectively while maintaining a nurturing environment for young children. $23.65 - $28.49 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week
