Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Teacher to join our After School program at our Child Care Center working from 3:00 pm to 6:00 pm. In this role, you will be responsible for delivering a nurturing and stimulating environment for children ages 4 and up , fostering their growth and development through engaging activities and structured learning experiences. Responsibilities Provide a safe, welcoming, and inclusive classroom environment that encourages exploration and learning. Manage classroom behavior effectively, employing positive reinforcement strategies to guide children's interactions. Observe and assess children's progress, documenting developmental milestones and identifying areas for improvement. Communicate regularly with parents about their child's progress, challenges, and achievements. Collaborate with colleagues to plan and execute educational activities that promote physical education and special education needs. Maintain a clean and organized classroom space that is conducive to learning. Participate in ongoing professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills and knowledge of childhood development. Other duties as assigned Experience Presently employed as a public school teacher is a plus. Knowledge of curriculum development, classroom management, and behavior management techniques is essential. Familiarity with standardized testing practices in early childhood settings is a plus. A strong understanding of childhood development principles is necessary to support the diverse needs of children in the classroom.
