Infant Lead Teacher 11240 Waples Mill Rd, Fairfax, VA 22030 From $20 an hour - Full-time From $20 an hour - Full-time Job Summary We are seeking a nurturing, dependable, and experienced Infant Lead Teacher to join our preschool team. The Infant Lead Teacher will create a safe, loving, and developmentally appropriate environment for infants while fostering positive relationships with families and staff. The ideal candidate is patient, organized, and passionate about early childhood education. Responsibilities Provide attentive and responsive care for infants ages 6 weeks to 16 months Create and implement age-appropriate lesson plans and activities Maintain a safe, clean, and organized classroom environment Follow all Virginia licensing regulations and health & safety procedures Support infants' physical, emotional, cognitive, and social development Maintain daily communication with parents regarding feeding, naps, diapering, and milestones Supervise assistant teachers and collaborate with team members Ensure proper diapering, sanitation, and feeding procedures are followed Observe and document children's progress and developmental milestones Build positive and professional relationships with families and staff Qualifications High school diploma or GED required CDA, associate degree, or coursework in Early Childhood Education preferred Previous experience working with infants in a licensed childcare setting required Knowledge of Virginia childcare licensing standards Current CPR/First Aid certification or willingness to obtain Ability to lift up to 40 pounds and actively engage with children throughout the day Strong communication and classroom management skills Requirements Must pass background checks and required screenings Must be reliable, punctual, and professional Must be able to work collaboratively in a team environment Benefits Competitive pay based on experience Paid holidays and paid time off Professional development opportunities Supportive work environment Employee childcare discount (if applicable) Schedule Full-time Monday to
