Position Summary Lead Toddler Teacher (2 Openings) Inspire Curiosity. Build Confidence. Make Every Day an Adventure. Lightbridge Academy of Glen Allen is seeking two enthusiastic, experienced Lead Toddler Teachers to join our growing team! We're looking for passionate educators who love guiding toddlers through one of the most exciting stages of development. If you're energetic, nurturing, organized, and committed to providing exceptional early childhood education, we'd love to meet you. What You'll Do Lead a vibrant toddler classroom serving children approximately 16 months through 2 years old. Plan and implement engaging, developmentally appropriate activities using the Seedlings Curriculum. Foster children's social, emotional, physical, language, and cognitive development through purposeful play and hands-on learning. Create a safe, nurturing classroom environment where toddlers can explore, build independence, and develop confidence. Support language development, early problem-solving skills, self-help routines, and positive social interactions. Maintain consistent classroom routines that promote security and successful transitions throughout the day. Complete observations, portfolios, and developmental assessments. Build meaningful partnerships with families through daily communication and parent conferences. Mentor and support Assistant Teachers while promoting teamwork and collaboration. Ensure compliance with all Virginia licensing regulations and Lightbridge Academy standards. Qualifications CDA, Group Lead Teacher certification, Associate's Degree in Early Childhood Education (or related field) required; Bachelor's Degree preferred. At least one year of experience as a Lead Teacher in an early childhood classroom. Experience working with toddlers is strongly preferred. Strong classroom management and communication skills. Patient, nurturing, dependable, and passionate about helping young children reach developmental milestones. Professional, positive, and committed to providing exceptional care and education.
