Thomas St Hampton, VA Qualifications and Requirements:
Lead teachers must have at least 6 months experience in a childcare setting AND some college coursework in early childhood. Associate degree or CDA preferred. Lead teachers work full time, 7.5 hours Monday-Friday. Assistant teachers must have at least 3 months experience in a childcare setting and a high school diploma. Assistant teachers work full time, 7.5 hours Monday-Friday. Substitute teachers must have a high school diploma. Substitute teachers have flexible hours, on their own schedule and work as needed. Emotional maturity, willingness to cooperate with the aims of the program, respect for children and adults, flexibility, patience, good personal hygiene, and physical and mental health which does not interfere with responsibilities. A tuberculosis test, and compliance with background checks as required for PCC and VDOE Ability to collaborate with parents in the education of their children. Regular and reliable attendance
