As the Lead Teacher, you will create a safe, engaging, and developmentally appropriate environment that fosters curiosity, social-emotional growth, and foundational skills. Your leadership will inspire a team of caregivers and communicate effectively with parents to ensure each child's unique needs are met. Duties Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans that promote cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development for infants and toddlers. Provide attentive supervision and care to ensure the safety and well-being of all children in your classroom at all times. Foster positive behavior management strategies to encourage cooperation, independence, and social skills among young children. Maintain open, transparent communication with parents regarding their child's progress, milestones, and any concerns. Lead classroom activities that stimulate learning through play, exploration, and hands-on experiences aligned with early childhood education standards. Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, including first aid, CPR certification, and mandated reporting laws. Supervise assistant teachers and support staff to ensure consistent quality of care and educational delivery. Qualifications Proven experience working with children aged birth to two years old in a daycare or preschool setting. Strong knowledge of child development instruction, early childhood education principles, and classroom management techniques. Certification in pediatric first aid and CPR is required; additional certifications in special education or working with children with disabilities are a plus. Familiarity with behavior management strategies and experience implementing them effectively. Excellent communication skills for parent engagement and team collaboration. Ability to adhere to mandated reporting laws and maintain confidentiality regarding children's records. Prior experience with classroom experience, daycare center operations, nannying or babysitting is highly valued.
