In this role, you will lead classroom activities, foster a nurturing environment, and support the developmental growth of toddlers. Your enthusiasm for early childhood education, combined with your expertise in curriculum development and classroom management, will inspire young learners and contribute to their foundational learning experiences. Responsibilities Develop and implement engaging, age-appropriate curriculum tailored to toddler development stages, incorporating literacy education, physical activity, and social-emotional learning. Lead daily classroom activities that promote curiosity, exploration, and early childhood development. Manage classroom behavior using positive behavior management techniques to create a safe and respectful environment. Communicate regularly with parents and guardians about their child's progress, milestones, and any concerns, fostering strong partnerships. Supervise and mentor assistant teachers and support staff to ensure high-quality childcare and educational standards are maintained. Ensure compliance with mandated reporting laws, health and safety regulations, including first aid and CPR certifications. Conduct ongoing assessments of children's development using standardized testing methods and adapt lesson plans accordingly. Qualifications Proven experience working with children in early childhood or preschool settings, particularly with toddlers. Strong knowledge of childhood development principles, curriculum development, and classroom management strategies. Experience with special education needs, early intervention programs, and behavior management techniques. Excellent communication skills to effectively engage with children, parents, colleagues, and community partners. Certification in first aid and CPR is required; additional certifications in childhood welfare or special education are a plus. Demonstrated ability to plan lessons that incorporate literacy education, math concepts, physical education, and social-emotional skills. Certification with mandated reporting laws and child welfare policies to ensure a safe learning environment.
