Job Overview We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Preschool Lead Teacher to inspire young learners and foster a nurturing classroom environment. As a key leader in early childhood education, you will design engaging lesson plans, implement developmentally appropriate activities, and promote a love of learning among preschool children. Your role will involve collaborating with families, managing classroom dynamics, and ensuring a safe, inclusive space where every child can thrive. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact during the foundational years of childhood development. Responsibilities Develop and implement comprehensive curriculum plans that support early childhood education standards and promote literacy, math, physical education, and social-emotional growth. Create a stimulating classroom environment that encourages curiosity, exploration, and active learning through hands-on activities and play-based instruction. Manage daily classroom routines, behavior management strategies, and child welfare protocols to ensure a safe and positive atmosphere for all children. Communicate regularly with parents and guardians to share progress updates, address concerns, and foster strong home-school connections. Incorporate special education strategies and early intervention techniques to support diverse learning needs and ensure inclusive classroom practices. Maintain accurate documentation of child development progress, standardized testing results, lesson plans, and incident reports in compliance with mandated reporting laws. Lead classroom activities that promote physical activity, social skills, and emotional regulation while adhering to health and safety guidelines including first aid and CPR certification. Qualifications Proven experience working with young children in preschool or early childhood education settings. Strong knowledge of child development instruction, behavior management, classroom management techniques, and childhood welfare practices. Demonstrated ability to develop engaging curricula that incorporate literacy education, math skills, physical education, and social-emotional learning. Excellent communication skills for effective parent communication and team collaboration. Certification in first aid and CPR required; additional certifications in special education or early intervention are a plus. Familiarity with mandated reporting laws and experience teaching physical education or working with students with diverse needs is preferred. Previous experience in private school environments or preschool settings is advantageous but not mandatory. Pay:
$16.00 - $19.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week
