This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with young children and is committed to supporting their learning, care, and daily routines. Key Responsibilities Assist the Lead Teacher with implementing developmentally appropriate lesson plans and activities Provide daily care for children, including supervision, meal prep, serving breakfast/lunch/snacks, and maintaining a clean, organized classroom Support classroom routines, transitions, and positive behavior management Engage with children through hands-on activities, play, and learning experiences Help monitor children's progress and developmental needs Maintain communication and daily reports through Brightwheel Ensure compliance with Virginia licensing standards (VQB5/VQR) and center policies Work collaboratively with staff, families, and community partners Qualifications Must be 18 years or older High School Diploma or GED required Associated Degree CDA (Child Development Associate) or child-related coursework preferred 1-3 years of childcare or preschool experience preferred Basic knowledge of child development and classroom support strategies Willingness to learn curriculum implementation and classroom management Experience with Brightwheel or similar systems is a plus Strong communication, teamwork, and organizational skills Ability to work in a Christian, faith-based environment Pay & Schedule $14-$16 per hour , based on qualifications Part-time position (up to 37 hours per week), Monday-Friday Additional Information Only candidates who meet qualifications will be contacted for an interview
