Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Preschool Teacher to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in early childhood education and a commitment to fostering a nurturing and stimulating environment for young learners. This role involves implementing engaging lesson plans, promoting child welfare, and supporting the developmental needs of children aged 2.5 to 5 years. Duties Collaborate with other teachers to develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans that align with early childhood education standards. Create a safe, welcoming, and inclusive classroom environment that encourages exploration and learning. Foster social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development through hands-on activities and play-based learning. Conduct assessments to monitor student progress and adapt teaching methods accordingly. Collaborate with parents and guardians to support children's learning at home. Maintain a clean and organized classroom while ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations. Provide individualized support for students with diverse learning and behavioral needs. Engage in ongoing professional development to stay current with best practices in early childhood education. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field is preferred. Experience working with preschool-aged children in a private school setting is highly desirable. Familiarity with the Virginia Department of Education Standards is a plus. Strong skills in preschool instruction and toddler care are advantageous. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with students, parents, and colleagues. A genuine passion for child welfare and the ability to create positive relationships with children. Certification in CPR and First Aid is preferred but not required at the time of hire as we will provide that training before the school year begins.
