Lead Toddler Teacher Potter's House School is seeking a compassionate, creative, and dedicated Lead Toddler Teacher to join our growing early childhood team. We are looking for an educator who is passionate about guiding toddlers as they grow in confidence, independence, curiosity, and a love of learning. The ideal candidate enjoys creating engaging, play-based experiences while fostering a safe, joyful, and nurturing classroom community. Position Responsibilities Plan and implement developmentally appropriate, play-based curriculum for toddlers. Create a warm, safe, and engaging classroom environment that encourages exploration and discovery. Support children's social, emotional, physical, language, and cognitive development. Foster independence through daily routines and positive guidance. Build strong, trusting relationships with children and their families. Communicate regularly with parents about their child's growth, milestones, and daily experiences. Maintain a clean, organized classroom that meets all Vermont licensing requirements. Lead the classroom with professionalism while mentoring assistant teachers and collaborating with school staff. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Education, Early Childhood Education, or a related field preferred, or currently working toward completion of a bachelor's degree. Experience working with toddlers in a licensed early childhood setting preferred. Strong knowledge of child development and developmentally appropriate practices. Excellent communication, organization, and leadership skills. CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain). Ability to meet all Vermont licensing requirements and successfully complete required background checks. Compensation Competitive pay based on education and experience.
