POSITION SUMMARY:
The RACS Preschool Director/ Teacher serves in a support role of the Administration, responsible for maintaining assigned duties as it relates to the management of the Preschool Program at RACS. The hired individual is directly responsible for maintaining the Vermont licensed preschool program and managing all staff members in that program. The position is collaborative with the whole teaching team and is dynamic in providing multiple learning modalities and differentiation to meet all student needs. This position supports the RACS mission, and contributes to the smooth running of the organization.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Meeting the requirements of RACS and the Vermont Bright Futures applicable rules. Excellent management and record keeping skills. Teaching Dynamically and Highly Effectively to meet the needs of all students. Maintaining Highly Effective Classroom Management Highly Skilled in all Subject Matter Biblical Role Model and able to share the Gospel, while living it out. Supporting Accreditation Willing learner who desires to participate in all professional development. Maintain Positive Family relationships Administrative Support with Assigned Duties Instructional Coaching to other teachers when appropriate
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
This position requires supporting the Dean of Learning with assigned duties, ensuring curriculum goals and implementation are being met in your classroom, and supporting the administration of school operations with fidelity.
QUALIFICATIONS
Practicing Christian that fully subscribes to the school's Statement of Faith and Biblical tenets. Bachelor's degree, in an applicable field. Bright Futures Vermont and ACSI certification Competency in the area of instruction
SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Thorough understanding of pedagogy and best practices in education. Strong Managerial and record keeping skills Desire to teach school-aged children and the ability to adapt to their developmental status. Ability to implement individualized learning plans. The ability to offer coaching in an engaging manner if needed. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong interpersonal/human relations skills, with the ability to maintain professionalism and tact in high-stress situations. This position requires interaction with parents, staff and volunteers, community representatives, and students. Ability to work with and motivate a diverse student body, student parents, staff, administration, and colleagues. Must possess working knowledge of classroom and school procedures. Self-motivated with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Ability to inspire students to learn and grow. Subscribes to a "Growth Mindset".
WORK ENVIRONMENT & PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Requires the ability to communicate in a positive and professional manner and clearly and effectively deliver feedback, coaching, and other assigned duties. Work requires reliable transportation and the ability to travel to and from various locations. Requires the ability to lift, carry, and load equipment, furnishings and supplies weighing up to 60 lbs. May require the ability to sit and stand for extended periods of time. May require the ability to adjust focus as needed to read documents and spreadsheets in written format or on a computer screen and related equipment. Work is typically performed during a standard work week, but it may occasionally require evening, weekend or additional hours to accommodate meetings, activities, and workload. Work requires the ability to prioritize tasks and maintain details. Instruct and lead students, teachers, staff and parents in a Christ‐centered environment while providing excellence in education Model Christ‐like character in all activities and actions Facilitate opportunities for spiritual growth in students, teachers, staff, and parents individually and corporately Create written documents and spreadsheets using the Google Suite. Assess student progress and create and / or update their plans as necessary. Maintain a positive working relationship with administrators, staff and families Provide timely communications with administrators, staff and families Maintain a safe and positive school environment for all students, teachers and staff Be an active member of the RACS community by attending some of the schools' special events, student activities, etc. Attend posted staff meetings and devotions Desire and ability to serve a diverse student population Willing to pursue life-long professional development
