We are currently seeking a reliable and experienced Teacher Assistant to join our team on a part-time basis starting this September. This is a great opportunity for someone who is passionate about early childhood education and looking for a part-time position.
Position Details:
Hours:
7:15am - 3:00pm, Monday to
Friday Responsibilities:
Collaborate with a team of dedicated staff members to prepare and open the center each morning, ensuring all classrooms and facilities are welcoming and ready for the day's activities. Create and maintain a clean, safe, and engaging learning environment that fosters exploration and creativity. Cultivate positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues, fostering a sense of community and collaboration. Prioritize the safety and emotional well-being of each child, responding to their individual needs with patience and compassion. Ocassionally assist with meal preparation and service, ensuring that all dietary requirements and hygiene standards are met. Flexibly support other duties as assigned, contributing to the smooth operation of the preschool program.
Requirements:
DCYF Merit Portable Background check Negative TB test result Food Handlers Permit First Aid and CPR (including infants) certification (in-person training) Bloodborne Pathogen certification Proof of MMR vaccination Basic 30
Stars Hours Preferred Qualifications:
One year of childcare experience ECE Initial certification (preferred) Enthusiasm for working with children and a positive, patient demeanor
