Kitchen & Floor Support Team Member - Early Learning Center Join Our Team at Little Lights Learning Center! Little Lights Learning Center is looking for a dependable, hardworking, and caring Kitchen & Floor Support Team Member to join our team! This position is perfect for someone who enjoys variety in their day and wants to make a meaningful impact by supporting both our kitchen operations and classrooms. You'll help ensure our children receive nutritious meals while also assisting teachers throughout the center to create a safe, clean, and engaging learning environment. Position Responsibilities Kitchen Duties Prepare and serve breakfast, lunch, and afternoon snacks according to CACFP meal guidelines. Follow all food safety, sanitation, and health department requirements. Wash dishes, sanitize kitchen equipment, and maintain a clean kitchen. Monitor food inventory and notify leadership of supply needs. Complete meal counts, production records, and other required CACFP documentation. Ensure meals are served on schedule and dietary accommodations are followed. Floor Support Duties Assist classrooms throughout the center, from infants through school age, as needed. Help supervise children during classroom activities, outdoor play, and transitions. Support teachers with daily routines, cleaning, organizing, and classroom setup. Help maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment throughout the center. Provide breaks and additional classroom support to ensure licensing ratios are maintained. Build positive relationships with children, families, and team members. Qualifications Previous childcare experience is preferred. Previous food service or commercial kitchen experience is a plus. Experience with the USDA Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP), including meal planning, meal counts, production records, and compliance requirements, is strongly preferred. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Strong communication and teamwork skills. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and remain active throughout the day. CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain). Must pass all required background checks and meet state licensing requirements. We're Looking for
