Duties Develop and implement age-appropriate curriculum plans that promote early literacy, numeracy, social-emotional skills, and physical development. Plan and lead engaging lessons in various subjects including math, literacy education, physical education, and Montessori methods to enhance childhood development. Monitor and document each child's progress through observations, assessments, and standardized testing when applicable, ensuring personalized support for special education or early intervention needs. Manage classroom activities efficiently by maintaining organization, discipline, and a structured routine aligned with best practices in classroom management. Collaborate with parents and guardians to communicate children's progress, developmental milestones, and any concerns related to child welfare or behavior. Maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming daycare environment that complies with all safety regulations and promotes child welfare at all times. Skills Strong knowledge of childhood development principles and early childhood education practices. Experience with curriculum development tailored for preschool-aged children including toddler care and Montessori techniques. Proven ability to work effectively with children of diverse backgrounds and special needs populations through early intervention strategies. Excellent communication skills for engaging with children, parents, colleagues, and community partners. Classroom management expertise to foster a positive learning environment while ensuring safety and discipline. Familiarity with standardized testing procedures relevant to early childhood assessment. Ability to plan lessons that incorporate literacy education, math concepts, physical activities, and tutoring as needed.
