Daycare Substitute Kiddie Adventures Early Learning and Development Center - 1.0 Renton, WA Job Details Part-time $21 - $22 an hour 1 day ago Benefits Flexible schedule Qualifications Daycare experience Working with children Full Job Description We are seeking a reliable, flexible, and nurturing Daycare Substitute Teacher to join our team on an as-needed basis. In this role, you will step into our classrooms to provide a safe, positive, and engaging environment for children when our regular staff members are away. This is an excellent opportunity for anyone looking for a flexible schedule while making a meaningful impact on young children.
Job Duties & Responsibilities Supervise and Engage:
Maintain active, constant supervision of children to ensure their health and safety at all times.
Follow Routines:
Seamlessly implement the daily classroom schedule, routines, and activities left by the primary teacher.
Support Classroom Flow:
Assist with transitions, circle time, arts and crafts, outdoor play, and meal/snack times.
Provide Basic Care:
Help children with daily needs, including diapering, potty training/bathroom breaks, and handwashing. Maintain a
Clean Environment:
Help keep the classroom organized, clean, and compliant with safety standards throughout the day.
Positive Communication:
Greet parents warmly during drop-off or pick-up and maintain a cooperative team spirit with other staff members. Qualifications To ensure compliance with Washington State childcare licensing requirements, applicants must have the following credentials ready upon hire:
Active MERIT Account:
A registered account with the WA State MERIT system.
Cleared Background Check:
A current, cleared Portable Background Check (PBC) through the Department of Children, Youth, and Families (DCYF).
Current TB Test:
Valid documentation of a negative Tuberculosis (TB) test result.
Job Type:

$21.00 - $22.00 per hour
