Full-Time, Monday-Friday About Us The Little Caterpillars is a highly regarded bilingual family daycare in Sammamish, serving children ages 1.5-5 years old. We offer an engaging play-based and nurturing environment where children grow through hands-on exploration, bilingual (English + Mandarin) immersion, and close teacher-family connections. Our program has a strong reputation for quality care and a long waitlist. We are looking for a dependable Lead Early Childhood Teacher to join our Sammamish family daycare team and support the daily growth, learning, and safety of our children. Your Role Create and lead engaging English language and early literacy activities (songs, stories, circle time, art, etc.) Partner with our bilingual team to ensure a balanced English-Mandarin learning environment Guide children's social, emotional, and academic growth through play and exploration Build strong relationships with families and provide regular communication on children's progress Help maintain a safe, warm, and developmentally appropriate classroom Required Qualifications Must be 18+ with a high school diploma or GED 2 to 3 years of experience as a Lead Teacher in either a licensed family home childcare or a center-based early learning program (ages 1-5) Professional English communication skills sufficient to lead classroom activities, communicate with families, and document children's daily care and progress. Reliable attendance and timely communication are required, because this role is essential for maintaining child care ratios and consistent supervision. Ability to pass required background checks and meet Washington State child care licensing requirements. Preferred Qualifications Already hold an ECE Initial Certificate, ECE Short Certificate, or ECE State Certificate , or currently working toward one Associate's or Bachelor's in Early Childhood Education or related field Experience in play-based or bilingual environments CPR/First Aid certified (or willing to obtain) Why Join Us?
