Our play-based approach supports both children and adults as they grow and learn together in a warm, engaging space designed for curiosity and discovery. Position Description We are currently hiring teacher(s) for our 3-year-old and 4-year-old classes.

Monday-Thursday, 12:15-2:45 Our school year runs from September through May and generally follows the Lake Stevens School District calendar for holidays and breaks.

Meetings & Commitments:

Attendance at monthly member meetings and teacher meetings is required (2hours) Board meetings take place on the Second Tuesday of each month (2hours) Member meetings are held on the fourth Tuesday of each month from 6:30-8:30 PM (September-May) Teacher meetings are typically held once a month on Friday afternoons at

Edmonds College Time Commitment:

A typical week includes classroom teaching, setup, and preparation time. Teaching hours average 6-10 hours per week, with additional time needed for planning and classroom setup/cleanup. The teacher leads the class in a positive, engaging way and works alongside parents, guiding them in their classroom roles to support children's social and emotional growth. The ideal candidate values collaboration and can adapt to input from parents, students, fellow teachers, and the parent educator. Responsibilities Develop and implement a developmentally appropriate, play-based curriculum with engaging and varied daily activities Maintain a balanced classroom routine that supports creativity, physical activity, collaboration, and imaginative play while encouraging independence Lead classroom activities and guide parent participation in their roles Model positive behavior guidance techniques Actively engage with children through observation, interaction, and participation Communicate consistently and supportively with families, board members, parent educators, and fellow teachers Participate in ongoing professional development opportunities Share classroom space and manage supplies collaboratively with other teachers Work closely with Edmonds College parent educator(s) Attend all required meetings (board, member, and teacher meetings)

Additional Commitment:
