Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Childcare Provider to create a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment for children of various ages. In this role, you will be responsible for supervising and caring for children, fostering their development through educational activities, play, and emotional support. Your energy, patience, and enthusiasm will help children thrive physically, emotionally, and socially. Duties Provide attentive supervision and care for children across different age groups, including infants, toddlers, preschoolers, and children with special needs. Develop and implement age-appropriate activities that promote childhood development, early childhood education, and social skills. Ensure the safety of all children by adhering to safety protocols, conducting regular environment checks, and managing behavior effectively through positive reinforcement and behavior management techniques. Administer basic first aid when necessary and respond promptly to any emergencies or health concerns. Support classroom routines such as meal times, nap times, diaper changes, and potty training with patience and consistency. Communicate regularly with parents or guardians regarding their child's progress, behavior, and any concerns that arise during care hours. Collaborate with colleagues to create a cohesive caregiving team that promotes a nurturing atmosphere conducive to learning and growth. Maintain cleanliness of the caregiving area and ensure all toys and equipment are safe and hygienic. Engage in ongoing training related to childhood development, classroom experience techniques, caregiving best practices, and certifications like first aid or working with children with disabilities. Qualifications Prior experience working with children in daycare, preschool settings, babysitting, nannying, or similar roles is highly preferred. Demonstrated knowledge of childhood development principles and early childhood education practices. Certifications in first aid and CPR are required; additional training in working with children with disabilities is a plus. Strong understanding of behavior management strategies suitable for various age groups. Experience caring for infants as well as toddlers is essential; familiarity with preschool-age children is desirable. Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with children, parents, and team members. Ability to remain patient, energetic, flexible, and attentive in a fast-paced environment. A genuine passion for nurturing children's growth through teaching, caregiving, and playful learning experiences. Pay:
$17.50 - $19.50 per hour
