Job Description

Community Builders Childcare is looking for a caring, dependable, and energetic Assistant Teacher to join our team! This position is perfect for someone who enjoys working with children and wants to help create a safe, fun, and supportive learning environment. Responsibilities Assist the Lead Teacher with daily classroom activities and routines Supervise children and maintain required teacher-to-child ratios Engage children through play, art, music, reading, and age-appropriate learning activities Help with meals, diapering, toileting, rest time, and classroom transitions Maintain a clean, organized, and safe classroom Communicate positively and professionally with families and coworkers Document meals, naps, diaper changes, and activities in our childcare app Follow all center policies and Wisconsin childcare licensing requirements Complete required training and continuing education Provide support in other classrooms when needed Qualifications Must be at least 16 years old Previous childcare experience is preferred but not required Must be dependable, patient, and comfortable working as part of a team Must be able to pass a background check Must be willing to complete required childcare training CPR and First Aid certification is preferred but can be completed after hiring Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds and participate in activities on the floor What We Offer Supportive and welcoming team environment Paid training and professional development Opportunities for advancement Consistent scheduling Employee childcare discount The opportunity to make a meaningful difference in children's lives If you are enthusiastic about helping children learn, grow, and feel safe and cared for, we would love to meet you!
Pay:
