ASAP This position could be seasonal or continue into the school year, depending on applicant's needs.Hours:
Part-time position: 3 hours per week. Hours correlate with services and other ministry times. During times when there are no children present who need care, you will complete administrative tasks as assigned by the CYF Directors. 3 Hours on Sundays, 9:00 AM-12:00 PM (Infants - Toddler Care During the Service, School-Aged Childcare & Administrative Tasks After the Service) Includes one Easter Sunday service and at least one Christmas Eve service.- One Easter Sunday service
Summary:
Provide a welcoming, competent, spirit-led staff presence. Implement all tasks that are necessary for a thriving ministry to children, always interacting with the children and families. There will be days or periods of time when children are not present during the above work hours. When that happens, the Director for CYF Ministries will provide the employee with other clerical-style tasks to complete for our ministries. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:- Tend to the immediate needs of children - feed, change, sooth, interactive play
- Demonstrate a positive and friendly attitude toward parents and children.
- Monitor childcare supplies and notify the Director for CYF of replenishment needs in a timely manner.
- Comply with First Congregational UCC's SafeConduct™ policy, including policies and procedures regarding the arrival and departure of children.
- Clean, sanitize and put away toys, as needed, and at the end of each shift.
- Maintain accurate documentation of attendance, needs, and any notable situations.
- Administrative tasks as needed.
