Job Description

Job Overview Join our dedicated Little Friends of Jesus team as an Assistant Childcare Provider, where your enthusiasm and nurturing spirit will make a meaningful difference in the lives of children. In this vibrant role, you will support early childhood development by assisting lead caregivers in creating a safe, engaging, Christian, and educational environment for children of various ages. Your energy and compassion will help foster a positive atmosphere that promotes growth, learning, and joy for every child in our care. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the well-being and development of young learners while gaining valuable experience in childcare and early education. Duties Assist lead childcare providers in supervising children during daily activities, playtime, meals, and naps Support classroom management by helping maintain a safe and organized environment for children of different age groups, including infants, toddlers, and preschoolers Engage children in age-appropriate educational activities that promote childhood development and social skills Help organize Jesus time, prayer and circle time to help children grow in their faith Help implement behavior management strategies to encourage positive interactions and emotional regulation among children Support special education needs by working with children with disabilities or additional learning requirements Maintain cleanliness and safety standards within the classroom or daycare setting Assist with basic caregiving tasks such as diapering, feeding, and comforting children as needed Skills Strong understanding of childhood development principles and early childhood education practices Experience working with children in daycare, preschool, nannying, babysitting or similar settings Knowledge of behavior management techniques to foster positive behavior Ability to provide first aid and respond effectively to emergencies involving children Experience working with individuals with disabilities or special needs is highly desirable Excellent classroom management skills to support a structured yet flexible learning environment Compassionate caregiving skills combined with patience, adaptability, and strong communication abilities Join us in creating a nurturing space where children can thrive!
