Job Description
Job Summary Join our vibrant team as a Child Watch Staff I, where your enthusiasm and caring nature will create a safe, engaging, and nurturing environment for children of all ages. In this role, you will support early childhood development by supervising and engaging with children during various activities, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times. This position offers an exciting opportunity to make a positive impact on young lives while gaining valuable experience in childcare, early childhood education, and behavior management. Your dedication will help foster a welcoming atmosphere that promotes learning, play, and growth for every child in your care. Duties Supervise children during scheduled activities, ensuring their safety and comfort at all times Engage children in age-appropriate play, educational activities, and social interactions to promote childhood development Monitor children's behavior and implement positive behavior management techniques to encourage cooperation and respect Assist with diapering, toddler care, infant care, and feeding routines as needed Maintain a clean and organized environment by sanitizing toys and activity areas regularly Communicate effectively with parents or guardians regarding their child's day, needs, or concerns Support staff in implementing early childhood education principles and classroom routines to foster a nurturing learning environment Experience Prior experience working with children in settings such as daycare, preschool, babysitting, nannying, or classroom environments is highly desirable Knowledge of childhood development milestones and age-specific needs for infants, toddlers, and preschoolers Familiarity with basic first aid procedures to respond promptly to minor injuries or emergencies Experience working with individuals with disabilities or special needs is a plus Demonstrated ability to manage behavior effectively while maintaining a positive attitude Previous caregiving roles that involved teaching or early childhood education are beneficial Strong communication skills to collaborate with team members and engage confidently with children and parents
Qualifications:
- Minimum age 16 years old.
- Have a sincere interest and ability to comprehend the needs of children to develop positive outcomes.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Must complete Presidium Child Abuse Courses prior to start date.
- CPR certification within 30 days of hire. Training provided.
- Completion of Abusive Head Trauma Prevention course.
- Must pass FBI Print Background check prior to start date.
