Job Description

Child Care Teacher Qualifications:
At least 18 years of age High school diploma or GED Associate degree/Bachelor degree is higher pay Meet training and experience requirements in one of the combinations approved by DCF as stated in the rule book If working with infants and toddlers, must also have completed a course in the care of infants and toddlers Possess a certificate from the Wisconsin Registry, verifying training requirements have been met TB test and physical exam Obtain CPR and First Aid within 6 months of employment Must complete allotted continuing education classes Submit to background check Required to continue education up to level 12 on the registry Pay based on WI registry level, work ethic, and experience
Duties:
Plans and implements activities based on Developmentally Appropriate activities based on Wisconsin Model Early Learning Standards in accordance with curriculum. Supervising daily activities for classroom Interacting with children and parents/guardians Maintaining classroom in an orderly and clean fashion Attend staff meetings and training meetings Reports any medical problems and accidents to director Participates in monthly fire drill Work 4 , 10 hour shifts each week Ability to perform physical activities that require moving one's whole body, such as in climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping, where the activities often also require considerable use of the arms and legs, such as needed in the daily care of children. Any other requirements at director discretion Supervised by: Center director Available shifts: 1st shift 6am-4pm Sunday-Wednesday (1 opening) 6am-4pm Wednesday-Saturday (1 opening) 2nd shift 12pm-10pm Sunday-Wednesday (1 opening) 12pm-10pm Thursday-Sunday (1 opening) 3rd shift 10:00pm-8:00am Sunday-Wednesday (tbd) 10:00pm-8:00am Thursday-Sunday (tbd)
Pay:
$17.50 - $30.00 per hour
