Role:
Small Hands Change the World is looking for a passionate and dedicated Lead Teacher to join our team in Milwaukee, WI! This is an exciting opportunity to make a lasting impact on young learners while working in a nurturing, mission-driven environment where every child matters.
Responsibilities:
Plan and implement engaging, age-appropriate lesson plans and curriculum activities Create a safe, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment for all students Monitor and assess student development, growth, and learning milestones Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding student progress Supervise and mentor assistant teachers and classroom aides Maintain accurate student records, attendance, and developmental documentation Collaborate with staff to ensure program goals and educational standards are met
Requirements:
Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or related field preferred Prior experience in a lead teacher or classroom leadership role Knowledge of early childhood development principles and best practices Strong classroom management and communication skills CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain) Ability to pass a background check as required by state licensing Warm, patient, and nurturing demeanor with a genuine passion for working with children
