Qualifications:
Must be at least 18 years of age. High School diploma or equivalent general education degree, required. Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood or Elementary Education, preferred. Knowledge of state child care licensing, Young Star, and NAC accreditation requirements, preferred. Certifications that must be obtained and maintained within first 90 days: Certification or approved course work in early childhood development, CPR, AED, First Aid, Child Abuse Prevention, Blood borne Pathogens, Hazard Communication. Attend at minimum 9 staff meetings per year, complete at least 25 hours in early childhood training, and obtain additional certification as requested.
