Job Description

ABC Child Care is looking for Full Time Lead Teachers. Must be 7 or higher on the Registry $200 sign on bonus after 60 days. Restrictions apply •Willing to train if complete all course work (3 classes, 50 hrs each) immediately after hire Teacher Job Description We are looking for a Child Care Teachers to encourage the healthy intellectual and psychological growth of the children in our facilities. You will teach and supervise them while also motivating them to use their mental capacities and exercise their imagination. Responsibilities The Lead Teacher is responsible to take leadership and mentoring role in relation to assistant teachers and group team work in the classroom.
A Lead teacher must:
Design and follow a full schedule of activities and discover suitable teaching material Balance your teaching between logical and social exercises Provide basic care and caregiving activities Use a wide range of teaching methods (stories, media, indoor or outdoor games, drawing etc) to enhance the child's abilities Evaluate children's performance to make sure they are on the right learning track Remain in constant communication with parents and update them on the progress of their children Observe children's interactions and promote good behavior choices Identify behavioral problems and determine the right course of action Collaborate with other colleagues Adhere with teaching standards and safety regulations as established by the official sources Develop and implement lesson plans Encourage children to develop their judgement and decision-making skills by offering choices throughout the day. Observe Children for illness and communicable diseases Assist in staff training Maintain a clean, orderly and safe environment for the children and other staff Mentor Assistant Teachers in the classroom Complete individual child portfolios on the children and keep up with goals and documentation. Greet and communicate daily with parents on their child's needs Assist in bathroom routines and diapering Requirements Proven experience as a child care Teacher or willing to take classes Must be 18 years of age or older Excellent knowledge of child development and up-to-date education methods Patience, flexibility and love for children Strong communication and time management skills Certificate in first aid and CPR SIDS and Shaken Baby Syndrome Training EC1 (Introduction to the Child care Profession), EC 2 (Skills and Strategies of the Child care Teacher), Infant/Toddler (Fundamentals of Infant/Toddler Care) or Degree in early childhood education. MUST be 7 or higher on the Registry for this position. Prefer experience working in a child care licensed center Complete 15 hours of Continuing Education yearly and keep current Registry Certificate Must be able to lift 50lbs Must be team player
