Job Summary We are seeking a passionate and dynamic Lead Preschool Educator to inspire and guide young learners in a vibrant early childhood education setting. In this role, you will lead classroom activities, develop engaging curricula, and foster a nurturing environment that promotes the social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development of preschool children. Your leadership will ensure that each child receives personalized attention and high-quality educational experiences that lay the foundation for lifelong learning. Duties Design and implement comprehensive, developmentally appropriate lesson plans aligned with early childhood education standards, including Montessori methodologies where applicable. Lead daily classroom activities that promote literacy, math, physical education, and social skills through innovative teaching strategies. Manage classroom behavior using positive behavior management techniques to create a safe and respectful learning environment. Collaborate with parents and guardians through regular communication to share progress, address concerns, and foster strong relationships. Supervise and mentor assistant educators and support staff to ensure high-quality instructional delivery and effective classroom management. Conduct ongoing assessments of child development using standardized testing tools and observational techniques to tailor instruction accordingly. Maintain compliance with mandated reporting laws, health and safety regulations, including first aid and CPR certifications, and ensure adherence to childcare licensing standards. Skills Extensive experience in early childhood education with a focus on preschool teaching, toddler care, or daycare environments. Strong knowledge of curriculum development, including literacy education, math instruction, physical education, and special education strategies such as early intervention. Proven ability in classroom management, behavior management, and child welfare practices to foster positive learning environments. Excellent communication skills for engaging effectively with children, parents, staff, and community partners. Familiarity with childhood development principles, standardized testing procedures, and Montessori or other specialized educational approaches. Ability to plan engaging lessons that incorporate child development instruction techniques across diverse learning styles. Certification in first aid and CPR; knowledge of mandated reporting laws is essential for ensuring child safety.
