Job Description

Overview Join our vibrant early childhood education team as a Lead Toddler Teacher, where your passion for nurturing young minds will inspire growth, curiosity, and joy. In this dynamic role, you will lead classroom activities, develop engaging curricula tailored to toddlers' developmental stages, and foster a safe, inclusive environment that promotes learning through play and exploration. Your expertise will help lay a strong foundation for children's lifelong love of learning while supporting their social, emotional, and cognitive development. Duties Design and implement developmentally appropriate lesson plans focused on toddler care, literacy education, and early childhood development principles. Lead daily classroom activities that promote social skills, behavior management, and physical development aligned with Montessori and other educational philosophies. Foster a nurturing environment that supports child welfare, emotional well-being, and inclusive practices for children with special needs or requiring early intervention. Manage classroom routines efficiently, including transitions, nap times, meal times, and outdoor play, ensuring safety and engagement at all times. Collaborate with parents and guardians through regular communication about children's progress, milestones, and any behavioral or developmental concerns. Supervise and mentor assistant teachers or aides to ensure high-quality childcare standards are maintained. Conduct assessments using standardized testing methods when appropriate to monitor developmental progress and inform instructional strategies. Experience Proven classroom management experience within early childhood education settings, preferably with preschool or daycare environments. Strong background in curriculum development with emphasis on literacy education, math fundamentals, and physical education tailored for toddlers. Experience working with children requiring special education support or early intervention services is highly desirable. Familiarity with Montessori methods or other child-centered educational approaches enhances your ability to create engaging learning experiences. Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with children, parents, staff, and community partners. Prior experience in private schools or daycare centers demonstrating a commitment to child welfare and quality childcare standards. Knowledge of childhood development stages and best practices in behavior management ensures a positive classroom atmosphere. Pay:
$14.50 - $15.00 per hour
