Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking an energetic and dedicated Lead Toddler Teacher to inspire and guide our youngest learners through their early developmental journey. In this vital role, you will create a nurturing, engaging classroom environment that fosters curiosity, social-emotional growth, and foundational skills. Your leadership will ensure that each child receives personalized attention, developmentally appropriate activities, and a safe space to explore and learn. As a lead educator, you will collaborate with families, staff, and specialists to support every child's unique needs and promote a positive early childhood experience. Duties Develop and implement comprehensive curriculum plans tailored to toddler development stages, incorporating literacy education, physical activity, and creative play. Lead daily classroom activities that promote social skills, behavior management, and early childhood education principles. Manage classroom routines efficiently, ensuring a safe, organized environment conducive to learning and exploration. Communicate regularly with parents and guardians about their child's progress, milestones, and any concerns, fostering strong partnerships. Supervise and mentor assistant teachers and support staff to maintain high-quality childcare standards. Ensure compliance with mandated reporting laws, health regulations, and safety protocols including first aid and CPR certification. Incorporate specialized educational strategies such as Montessori or preschool methodologies to enhance learning outcomes. Qualifications Proven experience working with children in a classroom or childcare setting, specifically with toddlers or preschool-aged children. Strong knowledge of childhood development theories, early intervention strategies, and behavior management techniques. Demonstrated ability in curriculum development, lesson planning, classroom management, and implementing literacy education. Familiarity with special education needs, standardized testing for early learners, and inclusive teaching practices. Excellent communication skills for engaging with children, parents, colleagues, and community partners. Relevant certifications such as first aid/CPR are required; additional credentials in early childhood education or Montessori teaching are preferred. Prior experience in daycare or private school environments is advantageous; bilingual abilities are a plus. Pay:
$14.00 - $14.50 per hour
