Preschool Lead Teacher

Duties Develop and execute comprehensive lesson plans that incorporate curriculum development principles, including literacy education, math, physical education, and Montessori methods where applicable. Create a warm, inclusive classroom atmosphere that encourages curiosity, independence, and social-emotional development. Manage daily classroom activities to ensure smooth operation and effective behavior management strategies. Assess individual student progress through observations, standardized testing, and formative assessments; adapt teaching methods accordingly. Collaborate with families to communicate student progress, address concerns, and support child welfare initiatives. Implement early intervention strategies for children requiring additional support or special education services. Maintain accurate records of attendance, developmental milestones, and classroom activities in compliance with licensing standards. Qualifications Proven experience working with children in preschool or daycare settings; prior classroom management experience is essential. Strong knowledge of childhood development theories, early intervention techniques, and behavior management strategies. Familiarity with curriculum development across various domains such as literacy education, math, physical education, and Montessori methods. Excellent communication skills to effectively engage with children, parents, and team members. Certification or coursework in early childhood education or related fields is preferred; state licensing requirements must be met. Experience working with students requiring special education accommodations or behavioral support is advantageous. Ability to plan engaging lessons that foster curiosity while ensuring safety and compliance with childcare standards.
