Job Description

Overview Join our vibrant summer camp team as a Summer Camp Instructor and ignite the spirit of adventure, learning, and growth in children and youth! In this dynamic role, you will lead engaging activities, foster a safe and inclusive environment, and inspire young minds through fun-filled educational experiences. Whether guiding sports, arts, or academic sessions, your enthusiasm and dedication will help create memorable summer moments that promote childhood development, teamwork, and confidence. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to make a positive impact while gaining valuable experience in childcare, education, and camp programming. Responsibilities Lead a variety of camp activities including sports, arts and crafts, theater, and educational games to ensure an engaging experience for all participants Maintain a safe environment by supervising children closely and implementing proper behavior management techniques Foster inclusive participation by supporting children of diverse backgrounds and abilities, including those with special education needs Provide first aid when necessary and respond promptly to any health or safety concerns following established protocols Collaborate with fellow staff to plan daily schedules that balance structured activities with free play Communicate effectively with parents or guardians regarding camper progress or concerns as needed Support the development of social skills, teamwork, and positive behavior through encouragement and guidance Qualifications Prior experience working with children in settings such as daycare, tutoring, babysitting, or camp programs is highly desirable Knowledge of childhood development principles and behavior management strategies Certification in first aid and CPR is preferred; willingness to obtain certification if not already held Strong classroom management skills to maintain order during activities Ability to adapt activities for children with special needs or varying skill levels Enthusiastic attitude with excellent communication skills and a passion for working with youth Background in early childhood education, sports coaching, theater arts is a plus but not required Join us this summer to create joyful learning experiences that inspire growth! Pay:
$12.00 - $15.00 per hour
