A Psychology Professor teaches foundational psychological ideas, truths, and methods to students through a combination of classroom instruction, field experience, and assignments at colleges, trade schools or other institutes. May assist or lead in the creation of the curriculum to be taught. In addition to instruction, they may assist or lead in research initiatives relating to their field. In some cases, psychology professors will perform therapeutic services.

Job Description:
The Department of Psychology at Bellarmine University in Louisville, KY is seeking a part-time instructors to teach Introductory Psychology. Preferred applicants will have teaching experience in psychology and familiarity with Bellarmine. In addition to the time course, the instructor is expected to be available to students, including a minimum of one hour of office hours held weekly, and during finals week. The courses are taught in person and on campus. At Bellarmine, Introductory Psychology is a survey of psychology including the history and methods of psychological science, learning and motivation, cognition and memory, biological bases of behavior, sensation and perception, personality and social psychology, psychological disorders and their treatment. The course emphasizes the relation between life experiences and the scientific findings that explain those experiences. The course must include a writing assignment and final exam. There are different sections available. The day and times are below. In your letter of interest please indicate which sections you are available to teach. Requirements:
A Master's or doctoral degree in Psychology is required and must be awarded by August, 2026.
