Job Description:
The Psychology and Neuroscience department is looking for an adjunct instructor to teach one section of the following Fall 2026
Neuroscience Course:
Neuro 1201: Brain and Behavior This course is designed for psychology and non-science majors to understand how the brain works. Have you ever wondered what it does and how it does it? This course delves into the brain's functions, from the smallest structures like brain cells and key regions, to its organization and control over complex functions such as sensing the world and making decisions. Students will learn about normal brain and nervous system function, how the brain influences thoughts, emotions, and actions, and the changes associated with brain disorders like depression, schizophrenia, and Alzheimer's disease. Topics covered include basic structure and function of the nervous system, brain development and plasticity, sensory information processing, learning and memory, and how physical factors such as drugs, diet, or hormones affect the nervous system. This course meets Mo/Wd 4:15-5:30PM and the semester runs September 2nd through December 16th, 2026.
Job Requirements:
Candidates should possess a Master's degree in a related field and demonstrate a record of, or promise of successful teaching at the college level.

The posted salary range reflects the good-faith compensation estimate for this position. The actual pay offered will be based on the candidate's skills, qualifications, experience, and internal equity factors. $4,950-$5,500 per course
