Starting Salary:

Experience Cortland dives deep into the region's offerings Major Responsibilities Teach undergraduate courses in the discipline based on department need and the applicant's area of expertise. Develop or continue a program of active research, preferably involving undergraduate research assistants. Additional responsibilities include engaging in service on departmental and university committees, participating in university-wide governance, advising undergraduate students, and maintaining a commitment to undergraduate education. Functional and Supervisory Relationships Reports to the Department Chair. Works collaboratively with departmental faculty and staff. Required Qualifications Ph.D. in Psychology or Ph.D. in Cognitive Science by the time of appointment Candidates will have the educational background to effectively teach courses in Cognitive Psychology and foundational courses in our department (Introductory Psychology, Statistics, Research Methods, Writing Intensive Research Courses) Preferred Qualifications Evidence of quality teaching at the undergraduate or graduate level. A research program that could include undergraduate research assistants. A demonstrated commitment to teaching and mentoring undergraduate students with diverse lived experiences and of all academic backgrounds and social and cultural identities.
