POSITION SUMMARY

The Psychology department in the Faculty of Arts & Sciences at Willamette University welcomes applications for an appointment as Visiting Assistant Professor of Psychology, to begin in August 2026. This is a one-year position, although renewals are possible for up to three years. We seek a colleague with deep enthusiasm for undergraduate teaching in the context of a small, private, academically rigorous liberal arts college. The successful candidate will teach three classes per semester, a mixture of PSYC210: Introduction to Psychology and 300-level courses in their area of specialty. QUALIFICATIONS

PhD or advanced graduate school standing. ABD with teaching experience considered. Must be able to reside in or primarily work in Oregon by the first day of employment.

Typical Work Schedule:

Classes typically meet two to three times per week, for a total of 180 minutes a week. This is an in-person teaching position.

Salary:
