Open Rank Faculty - Psychology, Department of Psychology & Counseling The Department of Psychology & Counseling at Marywood University (Scranton, PA) is seeking applicants for a faculty member with a specialization in clinical psychology, counseling psychology, or related, applied discipline. Position start-date negotiable (August 17, 2026 OR January 4, 2027). Applicants can apply for ONE of the following ranks: 1. Open-Rank Professor of Psychology (tenure-track, full-time) 2. Open-Rank Professor of Practice (non-tenure, full-time) Position descriptions: 1. Open-Rank Professor of Psychology (tenure-track, full-time) Responsibilities Seven courses per academic year (3-4 courses per semester) Mentorship of undergraduate and graduate student research Service to the Department, University, and profession Research scholarship Minimum Requirements PhD or PsyD in clinical psychology, counseling psychology, OR an applied area of psychology (e.g., forensic psychology, rehabilitation psychology, neuropsychology, educational or school psychology) Prior teaching experience or evidence of potential for college-level teaching Evidence of research publications and/or professional presentations 2. Open-Rank Professor of Practice (non-tenure, full-time) Responsibilities Eight courses per academic year (4 courses per semester) Service to the Department, University, and profession Research scholarship and/or professional work (e.g., practice, licensure, certification, field or policy contributions) Minimum Requirements Masters or doctoral degree in clinical psychology, counseling psychology, OR an applied area of psychology (e.g., forensic psychology, rehabilitation psychology, neuropsychology, educational or school psychology) Licensed preferred The primary responsibility of the position is teaching in the undergraduate Bachelor of Science psychology program. Children and Adolescents, Clinical Psychology II:

Ethics & Evidence-Based Practice, Psychology Internship, Introduction to Psychology, OR electives in the candidate's area of specialization (e.g., forensic psychology, drugs and behavior, stress and coping). Courses can be taught in fall, spring, and/or summer sessions, depending on the individual's preferences.
